KOREAN-ENGLISH INTERPRETATION & TRANSLATION
KEITKOR-ENG Bilingual Fluency Program
This program is designed to provide formal training in interpretation and translation for students with high proficiency in both Korean and English. The objective is to achieve bilingual fluency and high proficiency in both spoken and written skills, as well as the enhanced ability to interpret and translate between the Korean and English languages.
Structure
The course is comprised of three modules and offers extensive practice in all skills of language instruction. Each module is four weeks long with each week covering one major theme and daily topics related to the theme. Daily lessons are aimed at providing opportunities to practice and develop various skills including vocabulary (collocations, phrasal verbs, slangs, clichés and idioms), interpretation (listening & speaking), translation (reading & writing), and pronunciation.
There are three 70-minute sessions (B Language Development, Translation, and Interpretation) each day. B Language Development and Translation sessions focus on the English language development, translation skills and vocabulary expansion. Interpretation sessions are designed to have students practice and activate the language learned in the previous sessions in a more natural and communicative way.
